The Tiny Moments

Every morning, when my girl climbs into my bed for a snuggle, I think to myself that she'll one day be a teenager holding me at arm's length.

  1. Not so fast - my teenager still snuggles!

  2. Waaahaaha. This has happened to me.

On Monday, I took her to the Spring Swing (a luau-themed buffet/band concert/thank you) and got the cold shoulder.

Later, I broached the subject of mutual respect and was told "but you have to love me, I'm your child!"

  3. Reporting from the far side [ages 25, almost 27], they come back after the hard teen years. Just keep lovin' em.

  4. Some rebellion is actually healthy. I had a hard time with my daughter at 15-16. With my son, it's been 17-18.

  5. She's lucky to have a mom who gives snuggles. (hug)
