7 ferries (from big ones with tractor-trailers and free wifi, to tiny ones where we drove off onto the sand)

7 museums/historical sites

The only time we stopped for fast food in sixteen days on the road was for donuts and coffee at a Tim Horton’s one morning, just because we were in Canada and all.

Sounds like a great trip. When I was a kid we had a vacation on which we had a parents/kids agreement that every Native American museum/site would be matched with a ferry ride. So fun.

So, next time you are going to fly out west and do a Cascadia (OR, WA, BC) driving tour, right? I can promise bloggers and good food.

Wow -- I'm impressed! I would need some serious spa time to recover from all that vacation. ; )

Sounds like a great trip! I'm so glad (also more than a little jealous) that you got to meet Sue and Bon.

That's a lot of mileage. I'd definitely love the trip, but at a much slower pace and with a lot more oysters.

Fantastic idea of management of celebrating holiday and vacation to some desired place and destinations which is just like rocket schedule to be carried out.

Oh, it's all too much. I travel much, much more slowly these days. That is, not at all.
