Yes, there's a tooth of mine folded up in a little piece of paper and taped to the typed note. It's a terrible image, but it's hard to scan a three dimensional object. 
I've been hanging onto this for months - waiting to post it until the girlie lost her first tooth - which happened yesterday, at camp. Alas, instead of writing a note to the tooth fairy, she had a temper tantrum, and went to bed without even slipping the tooth under her pillow. Don't worry, the tooth fairy came anyway.

Isn't funny how all-day camp is so wonderful during the day -- but not so much in the evening? Ah, exhaustion. Anyway, congrats to the girlie for joining the big kids!

M is radiant. I see she got a paper dollar. I have a collection of foreign coins I collected during my many years at the bank that I dip into.
It looks like you lost your tooth in February, during winter when there was nothing else to do.
She lost hers in the summer, probably after a long day of swimming, biking, and running around in the sun. So, of course she had a tantrum!

SC swallowed loose teeth twice--once while eating popcorn at the movies, the other time eating a piece of melon when we were on vacation.She wrote a note of explanation--complete with a picture of the tooth and the melon!
And JR had to write a note of explanation when she swallowed a tooth while eating lunch in Plymouth, MA. I think I told her to write a note when we got home, rather than having to do my Tooth Fairy bit in a hotel room.
We definitely need the back story on what happened between you and TF in 1969.

I completely forgot about the tooth fairy too, but Aunt Becky's actually a parent, so she wins.
I lost one in an ice cream cone and swallowed another. Thank goodness my mom is an artist. We made fake ones out of styrofoam, totally faked out the tooth-fairy!
Ooh, reminds me. Tooth fairy is two teeth behind at our house. We're talking weeks of backlog. We explained that the tooth fairy's in rehab, but she's not buying it.
It was a good week for tooth-losing. :)

Very exciting! (Not the tantrum, though.) Red hasn't lost a tooth yet but Dusty lost her 16th last month. Soon, she'll only have big grownup teeth that will need to be seriously straightened. I love writing the tooth fairy notes.
