Wardrobe Wednesday

Last weekend, we went on a museum expedition - to a museum that had a dinosaur exhibit within, and a few large cast dinosaurs on the lawn. The child's outfit for the day: a lavender long-sleeved t-shirt under a demure, Easter-dinner-worthy, smocked dress of pink flowered cotton voile, with eccentric Hanna Anderson tights that are striped at the top and flowered at the bottom.

If I tried, I don't think I could put these outfits together.

  3. This so reminds me of my daughter. I don't know how many times I have taken her places and parents who have been there ask with a grin, "Did Ivy dress herself today?" Of course, now that she is older, it goes without saying that she dressed herself, and she still pulls off some interesting outfits. Enjoy the ride!

  4. And that's what so great about outfits like that. They don't know there are stupid rules about clothes and so they go with their mood, their gut, their inner fashion stylist. And they look better than any celebrity any day! LOVE THOSE TIGHTS.

or that my legs were thin enough again to wear striped tights, lol.

  7. I think she looks adorably independent.

My E. insists on choosing her own clothes now. If she's not in a tutu she is head-to-toe one colour, just like a tiny senior citizen.

  16. I do, I live with one of these. I sent mine off with my mom today for a sleepover and shopping date and I said to my mom, sorry. What was I to do? I packed extras but I know she won't change. Gotta love the spirit behind it.
