Last weekend, we went on a museum expedition - to a museum that had a dinosaur exhibit within, and a few large cast dinosaurs on the lawn. The child's outfit for the day: a lavender long-sleeved t-shirt under a demure, Easter-dinner-worthy, smocked dress of pink flowered cotton voile, with eccentric Hanna Anderson tights that are striped at the top and flowered at the bottom.
If I tried, I don't think I could put these outfits together.

Now THAT'S something I would actually wear!
Violet really likes this outfit. So do I.
If you get a chance I put a Mister Linky on my blog for Wardrobe Wednesday. Spread the cute!
This so reminds me of my daughter. I don't know how many times I have taken her places and parents who have been there ask with a grin, "Did Ivy dress herself today?" Of course, now that she is older, it goes without saying that she dressed herself, and she still pulls off some interesting outfits. Enjoy the ride!

And that's what so great about outfits like that. They don't know there are stupid rules about clothes and so they go with their mood, their gut, their inner fashion stylist. And they look better than any celebrity any day! LOVE THOSE TIGHTS.
i just wish i was young again so i could pull off these outfits without snickers!
or that my legs were thin enough again to wear striped tights, lol.
That child has style!
Such a free spirit!
I think she looks adorably independent.
My E. insists on choosing her own clothes now. If she's not in a tutu she is head-to-toe one colour, just like a tiny senior citizen.
I LOVE it! Looks just like something a certain little girl I know would wear!
I love those hanna tights.
She rocks it.
My girls are both wearing pajamas with Dora nightgowns on top today. crazy ladies.
My daughter loves to wear outfits like that.
Better than Betsey Johnson!
I'm lovin' this series.
I think its perfect. I'd wear it if I thought I could get away with it. Very boho cute.
Very appealing face, that girl has. And I love her sense of style.

I do, I live with one of these. I sent mine off with my mom today for a sleepover and shopping date and I said to my mom, sorry. What was I to do? I packed extras but I know she won't change. Gotta love the spirit behind it.
She likes her dresses ;) adorable!
I sense a future career.
Of Paleontologist, obviously.
That outfit is actually, to my eyes, very together. And I am sure the dinosaur was very impressed.
she is a super doll
you and I have something in common then:
two girls who dress "funky" and each of whom have a mom that just looks and says,"umm okay,"
Pippi Longstocking!
You know, it kind of works. I would wear it.
The girl has some serious instincts. I dig it.
