It's 61° in NYC right now, and it is a distinct pleasure to sit in my office, with the window open not six feet away, especially because it was in the teens but a week ago.
Yes! Here too. I walked across campus at noon to get a tour of a newly-renovated building, and did not wear my coat, mittens, scarves, OR hat. I took my umbrella, though, because it was raining hard.
Here in NoVa the bulbs are popping up on the library lawn, and when I took JR to afterschool at the YMCA, there were tiny daffodils up and blooming.
I suspect we'll get some more cold weather though, and it will be hell on wheels trying to persuade my darlings to put their warm coats back on. In my 14 year old's case, I am just going to roll my eyes and rejoice that I don't have a crying baby to bundle up in a snowsuit (!)

ReplyDeleteWonderful!
Hurray! I drove with the car windows open.
ReplyDeleteI'm so ready for spring.
Don't put those snowpants away quite yet, my love.
ReplyDeleteHowever, it feels DAMN good.
Oooh, I love me some open windows and fresh air.
ReplyDeleteWe had the same weather today in Ohio. I had the windows open until the storm rolled in. Hopefully, we won't have any tornadoes.
ReplyDeleteWe knew that kind of grace today as well.
ReplyDeleteAfter all this cold, it's no small thing! And they're saying perhaps a thunderstorm tonight...woohoo! I dearly love a good storm.
ReplyDeletethe grace of weather. i like that.
ReplyDeleteGlobal warming? What global warming? (hear the sarcasm)
ReplyDeleteLovely. It has been gorgeous here lately.
ReplyDeleteI sat with the front door open yesterday. Sure our storm door was closed tightly but there was a whole lot of glass letting the sunlight through.
ReplyDeleteWe silly humans, it's like we're suprised by spring every year!
I had my sunroof open!
ReplyDeleteour windows are open, and a BIG wind is blowing through them!
