Lava Girl Returns to Award a Prize!

Remember Lava Girl?

Well, I entered her in a contest and won best homemade costume.

Remember Nana Star?

Well, she's the prize. And since we already have the doll, I asked if I could give the prize away. So, if you have a smallish child who would like a charming doll whose clothes come off and who fits into the Groovy Girls clothes, leave me a comment by the end of the day on Wednesday the 26th, and I'll make a random pick.

Ooh me, me, me!! Or, rather, my kid, my kid, my kid! She loves GGs and have quite a number of fashionable outfits for Nana. The costume deserves to win - it is awesome. Congrats!

Rockin' costume! You and Lava Girl deserved to win.

No little girls in our house, so I'll the others enjoy.

Yay! Congrats. I remember being impressed with that costume. Your girl is such a pretty Lava Girl. I love her smile--she looks so happy right there.

My daughter is smallish (4 1/2). She plays with dolls. Actually, she loves Groovy Girls...

(Occasionally, she insists that she is a boy, not a girl but then she still plays with dolls and says things like "I'm a boy! I'm only playing with this doll because she'll be lonely!' She'd love it, I'm sure.)

Can I still call my 6 1/2 year old smallish? Tough to say, what with the perfect cartwheels on my family room floor and discussions of schema as it pertains to her memories of her very early childhood (not kidding-- they have been learning about that in school, and she said it like it's the most normal thing to say at dinner; metacognitive skills ahoy). But she would still love a new and sweet doll.

Oh, and duh! Congratulations-- awesome costume. You rock rather hardcore.

Congratulations on the prize! You deserve it. But don't enter me in the drawing. Z is not yet into dolls, and I fear she won't ever be. She's so rough! Just like her mama.

Congrats on the prize! I bet Lava Girl is all sorts of thrilled!

If I win the doll, I'm going to give her to my niece, Megan, who I think would love her muchly.

As the parent of a smallish girl who likes to take clothes off her dolls, I will throw my hat in the ring. Congratulations on winning for the costume you made - nice work!
