Yesterday, we met her teacher. The girlie vacillated between clingy and outgoing; the teacher seemed fine, if a little saccharine.
Today, she got on the bus without looking back - she climbed those stairs so quickly that I didn't even get the requisite photo with big yellow bus.
Sigh.
It's the beginning of a great adventure.
And now we've got thirteen years to save for college.
She looks ready to me! And, yeah, I tried the bus picture too and wasn't very successful either.
ReplyDeletegorgeous.
ReplyDelete(sniff.)
cute!
ReplyDeleteAll Elem. teachers are overly saccharine. I think it is a job requirement to have that type of personality.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a big day. And what a big girl. She's beautiful. And so stylish! I love the skirt.
ReplyDeleteLess than 45 minutes til we drop Briar off at school.
ReplyDeleteSob.
When my twins went to kindergarten twelve years ago, I went in the house and right back to bed. I don't know what I'm going to do when I drop them at their schools one year from now. She is absolutely precious! Hope she has a fantastic day;) And you, too...
ReplyDeleteLook how coordinated she is! She'll be the style envy of the entire school.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so grown up.
ReplyDeleteMy first jumped on the bus without looking back, too. The moment I had been dreading for 5 years passed by in about 5 seconds.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, mama.
Big milestone ... she looks adorable!
ReplyDeleteshe is precious
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! How did the packed lunch go down?!
ReplyDeleteRowan's first day too, and Nathan accidentally took the camera to work with him! Can we fudge the bus shot tomorrow? (I found an old manual with film, we'll just never develop it!)
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think saccharine is in the job description of Kindergarten teacher.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute first day of school outfit!
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable! And looks oh so grown up and ready for her first day. Congrats on another milestone in her life and yours.
ReplyDeleteyea, good luck with that college stuff. ;-)
ReplyDeleteShe sure is a cutie. I love the skirt.
Oh! Oh! too precious that girl.
ReplyDeleteONly 13 years? shit! I'm so screwed!
ReplyDeleteShe looks wonderful!
(That's a lot of exclamation marks in a few short sentences!!!)
Look at her! She looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAw, she's lovely. Hope her school days are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHooray for climbing those stairs and pursuing her future with a gusto!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot -- what an exciting day.
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! Happy belated First Day!
ReplyDeleteshe's perfect.
ReplyDeletei think all teachers of young children seem a bit saccharine to adults, making them just perfect for kids.
ReplyDeleteshe's adorable!
