Lunch
Me, asking about her day at school: What did you have for lunch today?
Her: Meat.
Me: What kind of meat?
Her: Cooked.
Turned out to have been pot roast - cooked, indeed.
Dinner
Verbatim text message received from my husband, relaying a conversation he'd had with her over dinner when I was elsewhere:
Exchange:
Is that ketchup? No it's
cocktail sauce. What's that?
It's kind of like ketchup, but
with horseradish in it. Oh, we
can't kill horses!

she's so adorable!
me: Dad, what do you want for dinner?
Dad: food.
I want her to come cook for me.
Just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you.
Not even cooked horse?
I love it. Such a delightful girl.
Miss M...well she is divine!
no, we can't kill horses
You cut the video just before she flipped the omelette in the air and caught it right side down in the pan, didn't you.
Cooked is good at our house, too. As long as the food isn't trying to escape captivity and running off of the plate it will get eaten.
What a doll! I miss cute kids. Heck my kids aren't even funny anymore; I'd settle for a day or two of pleasant or non-argumentative at this point.
So cute!! Save the horses! LOL!
You gotta love the literal age. And she's so adorable.
Very cute!
