One of the tiny things I bought at Muji a couple of weeks ago was NYC in a bag. Miss M. has recently identified two little known NYC landmarks:
#1 = the Pirate State Building
#2 = Mr. Willow's Hat Shop
Mr. Wright is probably rolling in his grave at #2.
Moky is still in the hospital. It turns out that she's got several tiny brain metastases. It is apparently treatable with radiation, and if the schedule works out she'll have her head tattooed today and will then be released.
And I'm sick - low grade fever, aches, gloppy eyes and a queasy stomach. Miss M. was flabberghasted that I took her to school in my nightgown - with jeans under and a coat over - but "Look what my mama is wearing!"
I *love?* the Pirate State Building!!!
ReplyDeleteHope the radiation works, and isn't too horrible...
And I hope you feel better. Sometimes a low-grade fever, with all the aches that come with it, can be worse than a high fever. Yuck.
And the few times I've had to drive the Sergeant to work in the very early morning, I always wear my pjs. :)
Hey, I tried to comment on Moky's ER visit a couple days ago, but Blogger was having none of it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that all of this is dragging at you, and I'm keeping her in my prayers for healing. And you, too!
Turn off the computer, lose the jeans and get into bed!
ReplyDeleteFeel better. Thanks for the laugh this morning.
That is a cute set. I hope the radation goes well for your mother.
ReplyDeleteHope you mom feels better soon and that the radiation does it's job!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better, too1
Oh, I hope you and your mom are better soon! You have every right to stay in your PJs.
ReplyDeleteClimb into bed this instant (okay, you are probably already there)!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping things go well for your mom and the you are feeling better soon. PJs until otherwise justified.
Wow, some news for Moky. Can she ask for a skull tattoo on her skull? Hope she gets to sleep in her own comfy bed tonight; and I hope you feel better too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I must have that toy for my little transplants! I'll teach them all about the Hat Shop.
Prate State Building!
ReplyDelete*snort*
BWAHAHAHA
That just amused me on 6 different levels simultaneously.
That is the COOLEST thing. My kids would get a kick. We got Little Town in a box and they have a blast with that.
Oh rates! meant to extend thoughts and care to you and your mom and wish for improvement through treatment (and rest!).
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear it is treatable and will be sending good thoughts your way.
ReplyDeletepirate state building is the best!
ReplyDeletehugs to you and moky.
sleeeeeeep woman!
ReplyDeleteIf Mr. Wright isn't rolling, he is surely smirking.
ReplyDeleteSending best wishes and good thoughts again my friend.
I love NYC in a bag. And Mr. Willow's Hat Shop ... hee.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well for your mom and that you feel better soon too!
My mom used to go a lot of places in her nightgown. Like the grocery store. This is probably why I sleep in my clothes. And it's more efficient, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're sick, friend.
ReplyDeleteAnd your mom, I'm thinking about her as well.
Best wishes for all for a full and quick recovery.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to that Pirate State Building. Sounds super scary and fun. Must check it out.
ReplyDeleteHope everything goes well for your mom and you get better.
They're so helpful at pointing at that which others might have overlooked.
ReplyDeleteThat set is amazing. My kids are just love NYC and we visit oftenish as we have family there. I'll have to find those...
ReplyDeleteAnd prayers for your mother. I hope all works out as planned. Best wishes!
