Okay, they need a couple of words: it's a mailbox, attached to a tree, about nine feet off the ground, in Union Square park. Who is getting mail there? And how does the mailman get the mail in the box?

Squirrels get mail, don't they? Of course, I can't imagine what their address might be. HA!
How long has the mailbox been there? This is so cool. I like it. Going to be looking at trees a bit more carefully next time I go to the park. Who knows what I will find.
How weird!
That is so AWESOME.
Ooh. Urban mystery.
Squirrels getting mail? That is just nuts.
(Sorry, I couldn't resist!)
It can't be squirrels, getting mail, they are too mean. I bet it is birds getting mail.
Totally awesome.
I hope it's random, rather than some performance artist's misguided attempt to protest the rising price o'stamps these days.
That's wild. I am so curious.
Stake it on in your free time, will ya? ;)
Hmmm, mighty peculiar!
Somebody HAS to provide an answer!! How bizarre.
Hi Maggie!
Totally off topic right back 'atcha, but thanks for stopping by my blog. I love success stories, and I wish you and your Miranda a lifetime of happiness!
Squirrels? Stilts?
has it not been turned into a bird house? a humorous bird house?
I say it is Boo Radley.
Or maybe for air mail?
nice. for really tall people, yes?
LOVE THAT! Is it maybe a birdhouse?
looks like a stylish birdhouse to me
I love this mailbox....what a great start for a story...you could have fun with this when you walk by with your DD...
That is so funny! I've never noticed it before . . . I'm going to have to go see it!
