The ABCs of Suburban Real Estate

Asphalt bespoils countryside.
Deer eat forsythia.
Grass, hedges, insects join knotweed.
Lo, McMansion needs one patio.
Quality Realtor says to utilize visual wiles.
Xeriscape yard.
Zoysia!

It's really terrible, especially in light of the wonderous ones produced by Slouching Mom and Niobe.

But it amused me no end.

I am easily amused?

Ah, but it's extremely funny!

Loved this line:

"Lo, McMansion needs one patio."

Heh.

I'll link it up.

Awesome, and all true!

Zoysia is a wonderful "z" word. My grandfather had zoysia, which, as I recall, looked lovely all summer, but turned a dull, dead-looking brown over the winter.

Ah, but charming, dear.

So how'd you do it? Did you start with you Z word, too?

I found it very amusing and well-done.

This was great. (I feel like my comment should be alphabetical, though...a beguling composition?) I also love the "Quality Realtor says to utilize visual wiles" line. Beautiful!

No, no! it's great! It actually makes sense, which is hard to do with these trick poems.

Reminds me of someone like Ron Koertge.
