The ballad, I; I shun the world, Its bustle and its noise, Its busy hasty rushing crowds And bright consumer toys.
Indeed, I sometimes like the old Because it's not the new; And if you think that's strange or wrong, I might not much like you. | What Poetry Form Are You?

Thanks to
Niobe, who's an unpronounceable Welsh poem form...
Cywydd Llosgyrnog is not unpronounceable. It's pronounced ców-id llos-gr-nog.
ReplyDeleteOkay. It is unpronounceable.
I loved that. I'm a sonnet, but I could've gone a different way with some of the questions.
ReplyDeleteI love that ballad!
ReplyDeleteI'm a terza hoo-ha (terza rima? terra firma?). I don't even know what it means, the form I am.
That's a little worrying.
I'm a sonnet (I knew I would be), but my alternate was the heroic couplet, which I liked even better (even though it makes me sound like a control freak). There's nothing wrong with being structured, is there? Is there?.
