As Margaret Atwood once said, “In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.” I am waiting for that day. Instead, we are watching it rain and rain and rain.
Z. is more garden-hardy than I am, so she's had many days like thistoday--when it was SNOWING!, SNOWING!, I tell you--she announced that she wanted to do digging even though her digging box (=empty raised bed) was under an inch of slush.
But I've only ventured out a small handful of times.

I liked M. Atwood. Here in Boston we are watching the rain from now through Thursday, they're saying. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteYes. I keep thinking that during winter, we had spring, and now in spring, we're having winter.
ReplyDeleteWeird, weird weather -- caused by global warming?
